WHAT MY BLOG HAS DONE FOR ME IN 2013 AND TO COME!!

Sure I can sit here and have my last blog of 2013 be about Miley Cyrus, Kanye and Kim, Beyoncé, or Bill De Blasio but you already know enough about them. I also can write about my New Years Resolutions but to be honest I’d rather focus on what I’ve accomplished and how to keep that positive energy around for the New Year and the future.

Since starting this blog I’ve met so many amazing people. I’ve made new friends and the brands that I’ve supported 100% for years have put their trust in me and have blessed me with so much.
I’m not like most bloggers who make income but I appreciate everything that I have received. I quit my job in 2012 and blogging was the first thing on my mind. I blogged years ago but had more kids and put it on hold.

There are so many bloggers out here now, but years ago having that title didn’t mean anything. Bloggers have taken over and I am proud to call myself one. However, I would love an income from blogging since it’s so hard to find work but I am not giving up. I was asked to do a few paid posts and I greatly accepted. 2013 was a great year and 2014 is just the beginning of what’s about to happen. Positive energy!!!

My focus is on SUCCESS and moving up in the world. I have the support of my hubby, my kids, family, and social media.

I love opening emails and being invited to events or asked to review a product, or host a Twitter party. I might not be a celebrity but I am known for what I love and that’s blogging. I also love cooking and if I happen to go into that field it’s because it’s what I was offered and cooking is another passion of mine.

Blogging has opened many doors for me and I don’t ever want the doors to shut. I want my kids to have everything I never had. I want the big house with an amazing kitchen (lol), a car or two, my kids to go to great colleges. These new doors that open will lead me there!!

I want to thank all my readers for hanging with me and not letting go, family, friends, social media, and the Universe for blessing me and my family and many more blessings ahead. It’s been a great ride!!!

FRUIT OF THE LOOM WILL BE KEEPING THE PEREZ FAMILY WARM FOR THE WINTER

Today is officially the first day of Winter. There are a few things that I must have to keep me warm during the winter months. Those things are heat, comfy warm comforters, thermals, hot beverages, hubby, my kids, and clothing. My favorite activewear that keeps my family and I snuggly are by Fruit of the Loom. With the variety of colors and sizes all of us can enjoy style and comfort in our home or outdoors. The fleece full zip hood, fleece crew, or fleece pullover hood sweatshirts are roomy enough to add layers underneath without being too hot. The elastic hem fleece pants are great to throw on and go shopping, workout, or just to take a stroll are very comfortable. I love wearing these as pajamas or just for lounging indoors as well.

Fruit of the Loom is not just known for their activewear. They also carry socks, underwear, tank tops, briefs, boxers, t-shirts for the whole family. I grew up on Fruit of the Loom and now my kids are also wearing the name. There is also a Big and Tall section for hubby which he is very happy. It’s hard to find his size in certain things so we appreciate Fruit of the Loom for having that. Comfort and quality that’s been around for years and will always continue to grow as a brand that will always remain in my family.

At Chinese New Year celebrations people wear red clothes, decorate with poems on red paper, and give children “lucky money” in red envelopes. Red symbolizes fire, which according to legend can drive away bad luck. The fireworks that shower the festivities are rooted in a similar ancient custom.

HOW TO SAY HAPPY NEW YEAR IN CHINESE AND CANTONESE:

Gong Xi Fa Cai:
Pronounced “gong zee fah cai,” gong xi means “congratulations” and is also a way to wish one joy. Fa cai is to become rich or make money. In essence, you are wishing one joy and prosperity in the new year. Business owners and workmates use gong xi fa cai as the usual way to say “happy new year” in Chinese.

Xin Nian Kuai Le:
Pronounced “zeen neean kwai luh,” kuai le means “happy” or “joyous” and xin nian means “new year.” Xin nian kuai le is a great way to say happy new year in Chinese to friends without using a reference to money.

Gong Hey Fat Choy in Cantonese is the equivalent of gong xi fa cai in Mandarin, or simply “congratulations and prosperity.”

Try replying with “Hong Bao Na Lai”. It means “red envelope please”.

HEALTHY CHOICES MY FAMILY AND I MAKE WITH WELCH’S @Welchs @TheLicensingCo #Welchs

As a mom of 4 I’m sure there are plenty parents out there who wish they didn’t have picky eaters. I try to cook healthy for my kids and make sure they get their daily dosage of vegetables, & fruit, and leave out the junk food. I read all labels and if it takes me an extra 20 minutes in the supermarket then it’s worth it for my family. Fruits aren’t that big of a problem in my house. My kids choices range from grapes, tangerines, apples, bananas so I’m glad they all can agree on that. I think my kids drink more than they eat. I go through so many drinks sometimes I have to stock up in the food warehouse stores so I have plenty. We love juices that are 100% like Welch’s Grape Juice, 100% White Grape Juice, and 100% White Grape Peach Juice just to name a few.
