I was excited to be invited to a VIP Honda Fit experience on April 15th to test out the new 2015 Honda Fit. When I arrived at Skylight West the first thing I noticed was the size of the cars. I loved it. Very compact, loved the colors, and I could easily find parking with no problem in one if these. Don’t let the size fool you. Even though it looked small it can hold a lot. They were demonstrating how it can hold 15 bean bags with the seats folded down. Love the cargo space. The front passenger seat once folded flat can hold a 9 ft. long surfboard and 2 6 ft. surfboards all at the same time. The driver’s seat also folds down and can be used to lounge and watch movies while waiting for your passengers. Hubby would like that. He’s very tall so any car that’s roomy enough for him is a plus. Legroom and headroom are important.
You can plug your smartphone into the car, and the Honda Link system has HDMI connectivity that allows you to watch movies and listen to music on your 7- inch screen while you’re parked. (Safety first). It also comes with Apple’s Siri hands free interface.
I was impressed with 41 MPG on the highway, and the 33 MPG in the city. Every 2015 Honda Fit also comes standard with the multi- angle rear view camera with 3 viewing modes. (Wide, normal, and top down ). I love the color blue they use on the dashboard that increases visibility and high quality feel. Honda’s linked satellite navigation system with continually updated traffic information is great. Loved how easy it was to use.
The new Lane Watch feature is very cool. It shows a view of the lane next to you on the dashboard. The camera is under the mirror and blind spot areas are minimized by expanded driver’s view mirror and Lane Watch. I took a picture when my friends and I took the car out. (I was not driving at that particular time).
Living in NY can get hectic when it comes to driving with traffic and finding a big enough parking spot. The Honda Fit will definitely come in handy. After my friends and I went for a test drive we saw how much power this car had, how much legroom we had, and how easy it was to use the navigation, and squeeze through tight spaces. It is definitely #fitforthecity #fitfortechnology #fitforduty and #fitforyou
Honda also treated us to breakfast and lunch which was amazing. I had a great time and hope to own a Honda Fit one day. My kids want me to have a car but my wallet says otherwise. Lol. I would love to travel if I owned a car. Get to your local Honda dealer and test drive. Also check out the New York International Auto Show at Jacob Javits Center going on now till April 27th and see it in person. I put a few pics from the Auto Show below.
Thank you Honda, Ellen, Shannon, and Blitz for a look at what’s in store for the 2015 Honda Fit. Thank you Denise for the recommending me.
