My kids and I were invited to a Disney screening of The Jungle Book on April 12rh at Kips Bay AMC theater in NY.
I was very excited to see this film with my kids in 3D and enjoy hearing my favorite cast members voices. I already knew from the original that this movie was gonna be awesome. I was jumping and clutching onto my kids in a few parts and my daughter also grabbed me a few times but it was just the way the animals come at you from the screen. Being raised by wolves isn’t a bad thing. I think the snake had me hypnotized. Do not look into her eyes. Lol. Also, watch for the scene with King Louie when he chased Mowgli through the temple. That had my heart racing but it was excitement. I didn’t know King Louie could run that fast. That’s 3D for you!!! That also makes it worth seeing.
If you’ve never heard of The Jungle Book here a little synopsis what the film is about.
Cast: Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong’o, Scarlett Johansson, Giancarlo Esposito, Neel Sethi and Christopher Walken
Synopsis: “The Jungle Book” is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli (newcomer Neel Sethi), a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, who embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known. “The Jungle Book” seamlessly blends live-action with photorealistic CGI animals and environments, using up-to-the-minute technology and storytelling techniques to immerse audiences in an enchanting and lush world.
I think everyone’s favorite song is The Bare Necessities. It’s always been my favorite. I’m humming it right now. Mowgli played by Neel Sethi is so cute. I love when he sanged the Bare Necessities song with Bill Murray who played Balloo the Bear. Neel Sethi did an amazing job as Mowgli. I hope to see more from him in the future. The entire cast did a great job.
