Let’s Ride With @CitiBike #CitiBikePartner

I love living in New York because there’s so much to do and see and I don’t always need a car to get around town. I was born and raised in Harlem and so much has changed. I was taught to ride a bike at a young age and learned to drive a car in my 20’s. I can also roller skate just thought I’d throw that in. There’s plenty of public transportation, walking, cabs, ferry boats and if you don’t own a bike you can now sign up for one through an affordable annual membership, single ride or day pass with the help of Citi Bike.

I’m sure you’ve seen these bikes lined up on the streets in every borough in New York. They can’t be missed. The beautiful blue color stands out and they’re very easy to use. When Citi Bike came to my neighborhood I was very excited. Living in Harlem is great! In my neighborhood there’s always a bike waiting for me to go to the local farmer’s market, my favorite restaurants, to work or just take a stroll in Central Park on a beautiful sunny day. I love supporting La Marqueta marketplace down the block from me. Citi Bike is also great for exercise.

Using Citi Bike was very reliable when I had to pick up lunches and groceries for my family and elderly neighbors during the pandemic. The basket on the bike made it easy to carry things. I got to places quickly and returned safely. I also made sure my mask was on and a helmet on my head every time I rode the bike. It’s also a good idea to carry hand sanitizer if you’re not wearing gloves so you can wipe down the handle bars. Safety first!

I’ve saved so much money by using Citi Bike and the best part is I leave it outside when I’m finished. It’s doesn’t take up any space in my apartment and when I’m ready to go I just head across the street from where I live, pick one up and take off. No gas or lock needed.

Have you tried Citi Bike yet? What do you enjoy most about riding with Citi Bike? Do you have a membership or do you use on occasion? Are you going out as a family and getting exercise or just using for a day trip? Where does Citi Bike take you?Comment and or share pictures. I’m looking forward to hearing your comments.

I live in E Harlem and honestly in the time before the pandemic it seemed as if no one was using those citibikes. But now it looks like more people are using them. I wish I knew more about how to use them because then grocery shopping wouldn’t have been such a chore. Great post. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for your comment. It’s definitely picking up now. Before the pandemic you couldn’t find one but during not too many people using it but now I’m always noticing them. If you download the app and check out the website it will give you more info. It’s not hard to use at all and the membership is worth it. Hope to see you on one soon. Thanks for your support . Stay safe and have a great day!
