Chobani – @Chobani

Liquid Oxygen – @luvliquidoxygen

Wouldn’t you be excited to walk into a room filled with staff from every single one of them ready to give you samples, take your business card and tell you about how you can work with them? I’m always excited when opportunities like these arise. One on one attention and working with amazing brands is what I love doing.

Getting Gorgeous has given me that. Audrey and Vera definitely know how to throw an event. I’ve been attending every single event they have given and will always support these amazing ladies.

The Metropolitan Pavillion was on and popping July 15th. Filled with bloggers from all over I had the early session.

Restylane Silk had complimentary consultations with top NYC dermatologists, where we learned about the recent release of the first and only FDA-approved product specifically for the lips and mouth area that is uniquely designed to restore natural youthful definition, symmetry and smooth wrinkles. Restylane Silk can gently restore natural-looking lip volume, while also defining the lip shape and smoothing fine ‘barcode’ lines around the mouth. I had a consultation and will make an in office appointment.

Chobani had a DIY lunchbox station where you wrote whatever you wanted in the lunchbox with a cool marker and stickers that can be written on in chalk. Samples of their products were also given out and insulated lunch bags.
Bali Intimates measured the ladies for their correct bra size. Big shocker when I found out my real size. Love the new collection of bras and picked out my favorite to be sent to me.

Kodak has a new app coming out where you can print pictures from your phone and send to CVS or from your printer at home.

The Backyard Food Co had me at their booth half the day with amazing gourmet condiments. From sweet tomato jam, wholly jalapeño, red hot relish and red sweet relish. I loved them all. I can do some major damage with those and couldn’t stop eating. Praying these come to Whole Foods in New York. I’ll even buy bulk if they come to Costcos.

Trollbeads jewelry included beads, bracelets, bangles, etc.. Attendees were given a bracelet and was told to choose a bead which was attached and we made ourselves a trollbead. Very nice.

Kevita Organic, non-GMO, Sparkling Probiotic Drinks. Pineapple Coconut and Lemon Cayenne were my favorites. Need to stock up on these delicious drinks.

Stokke always have the best baby products to choose from. Love the strollers. Too bad I don’t have any babies or my apartment would be filled.

Liquid Oxygen skin care solution for acne recommended by Dermatologists. Al natural, benzoyl peroxide free, paraben free, fragrance free, for all skin types. Can’t wait to give this a try.

Cocktail Caviar edible pearls that can be put in the bottom of your glass of wine or served as a dessert. Made with Premium Vodka. Basically liquor in a stackable jarrah at looks like caviar. Variety of flavors like: Raspberry, Green Apple, Blueberry, Lychee and Peach.

Spa Chicks on the Go spa event company that delivers onsite beauty and wellness in NYC. That they did! Hair, makeup, nails and massages is what every girl wants. These ladies did amazing jobs hooking everyone up with these services.

I also had fun with my blogger buddy friends in the photo booth. I even won a Sephora gift card. Woo-hoo!! The day was great and big shout out to Vera and Audrey and the Getting Gorgeous team. Looking forward to next year. A few pics from Audrey and Vera photography.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. Opinions are always mine 100%. I was given swag and invited to attend this event.

Dove Advanced Care Deodorant Multitasks for 48-Hour Protection

19 May

Dove Advanced Care Deodorant hosted an event with fashion stylists Wantable and Dove dermatologist Dr. Ellen Marmur on May 13th in The SoHi Room at the Trump Soho. They highlighted the latest multi-taskers making waves in fashion and beauty and wanted to help attendees upgrade our wardrobe and skin care this season.

After a magnificent lunch and few words from the stylist and dermatologist we were led to test out the new Dove deodorant on the back of our hands. Dove Advanced Care Deodorant also multitasks by preventing wetness and odor, moisturizes, smooths, softens and protects for 48 hours. Moisturizing isn’t just for your face. Underarms need it too. There are 13 different scents. I’ve always been a big fan of Dove because of the protection, prices and fabulous scents. #LoveAtFirstSwipe was the hashtag of the event and now I see why. You will love it and your underarms will thank you. Next, stylists took us around to different stations where we had the chance to choose the right athleisure wear look to help us get the most out of our on-the-go wardrobe.

I loved all the stations but I couldn’t take them all home with me. I think I made some great choices from leggings, accessories, top, to a light jacket. Wantable has ready to wear fitness and apparel. They took time with each attendee to make sure we liked what we picked out down to the accessories.

Here are your 13 Dove deodorants: Which scent would you choose?

NEW Original Clean – A light, Clean Classic fragrance

NEW Powder Soft – Warm, Floral Powder fragrance

Nourished Beauty – Nutrium Moisture

Cool Essentials – A refreshing burst with Cucumber and Green Tea

Beauty Finish – Radiant scent inspired by a beautiful touch

Revive – A energizing scent of Pomengranate and Lemon Verbena

Clear Tone Sheer Touch- Calendula and Sunflower seed oils

Rebalance – A scent of Plum and Sakura Blossom

Shea Butter – Refreshing Floral scent

Sensitive –.Unscented

Caring Coconut – A light Coconut scent with Jasmine Floral notes

Clear Tone Pink Rosa Skin Renew- Calendula and Sunflower seed oils

Clear Tone Skin Renew Anti-Perspirant -Calendula and Sunflower seed oils

Of course you know I have to try every single one. It just wouldn’t be right if I didn’t. It was a great day with great people. I enjoyed tips from Wantable and Dr. Ellen Marmur. Can’t wait for my athleisure wear clothesline deodorant to come. Thank you Dove and Wantable for a great event!!

The winners of the Dove Antiperspirant Dry Spray are:

6 Mar

Dove recently introduced their new Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant at their Friendship Suite and I was invited to check it out. Dove partnered with Rocksbox, the innovative jewelry subscription company that was created out of the practice of sharing the latest fashion finds with friends. They asked you to bring your best girlfriend to take part in celebrating friendship. There were beauty makeovers, style trends to learn about and giveaways.

The new Dove Dry Spray is the latest beauty trend and I see why. If there’s one thing I hate about deodorant it’s clumps under my arm that dried up. It provides 48 hour odor and wetness protection and is formulated with 1/4 moisturizers that offers all the care of Dove in a antiperspirant that goes on instantly dry for a cleaner feel. The scents are amazing. There are so many to choose from.

Here are a few:

Nourished Beauty: A floral, powdery fragrance with notes of jasmine and rose.

Cool Essentials: A blend of cucumber and green tea.

Revive: A pomegranate, lemon verbena scent.

These are just 3 of 6. The other 3 are Beauty Finish, Skin Renew and Sensitive. These can be found now at mass food and drug retailers nationwide. SRP $5.49 (3.8 oz) can.

I tried the Nourished a Beauty and loved it! No more clumps and when I feel under my arms it’s so smooth and the fragrance was still there hours later. The 48 hour protection really worked. I will be packing this for my cruise. Dove didn’t forget the men. I found it in Target for my boys. It’s called Dove Men Care Dry Spray Antiperspirant in Clean Comfort which also smells amazing. They love it too!

I had my makeover which I loved and consulted with a Rocksbox stylist about their gorgeous jewelry and how the subscription works. They were kind enough to offer my readers a free one- month subscription to try unlimited jewelry. For more info and to try your free month head to and enter promo code: DoveBFFs

Go to and @Dove on Twitter for more info.

GIVEAWAY: I am giving away 3 Dove Dry Sprays to 3 winners. Choose from Nourished Beauty, Cool Essentials or Revive. Comment below and tell me which one you want to try. Open to US residents only.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I received free samples. I was excited to receive these new Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant from the Dove Team. I also received a necklace from Rocksbox.

I was so excited and nervous when I found out I was going to model at the fabulous Fashion Forward Conference that I am always a guest at. I’m always counting down till the event and now I was counting down to see what great outfit was picked out for me to wear. I love to be in the spotlight and work the runway especially when the clothing fits you perfectly and you’re doing it for friends. I consider Vera, Audrey and Nicole like family. They’ve been there for me from the beginning and you will always hear me saying good things about them. Good things come to those who wait.

I modeled beautiful clothing from Gwynnie Bee and Mark Girl accessories. Makeup was applied thanks to Mommy Makeup, hair was done by Go Priv and manicures given by City Mani NYC. I loved my outfit and everything included from top to bottom. Even the kids modeled their favorite Halloween character costumes and clothing from Matilda Jane. The whole experience was amazing and I’ll do it again in a heart beat. Everyone did a wonderful job and we all had fun. It’s a beautiful thing we all get together and everyone is smiling and there’s a positive vibe.

Tons of brands showed up to showcase their products and guest Christy Turlington spoke on the panel about making pregnancy & childbirth safe for every mother with Every Mother Counts, the non-profit organization. @CTurlington @everymomcounts

For more info on these three fabulous ladies you can follow them on Twitter: @VeraSweeney @AudreyMcClellan @Momtrends

The food was great from Tacombi (Mexican) and the venue was beautifully decorated. It’s always great attending Fashion Forward and I can’t wait till 2015. Thank you for letting me model and for having a great panel of speakers and sponsors.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. Gift bags were given. Opinions are mine as always 100%.

4 Dec

This year bloggers celebrated the holiday season with Momtrends at the Stella & Dot Showroom down on Wooster St, in NYC. I always get super excited when Momtrends throws their fabulous events. Donations this year were to Bottomless Closet. We were able to bring new or lightly used work clothes, accessories, coats or shoes for disadvantaged women going into the workplace. I remember years ago being part of a program like this where I got a referral to get free clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc so I could go on an interview. These programs/agencies/charities come in handy when women/men need clothing to go into the workplace. I appreciated it a lot. I didn’t mind at all donating for a good cause.

Sponsors in attendance were Teleflora, Priv, Lands End, Walkers, Little Me, Duck, I See Me, Vermont Nut Free Chocolate, Apothederm, Peanut Hottie, Stella & Dot.

Teleflora. I absolutely love Teleflora flowers because first of all they never box any of their flowers. They are delivered fresh across the US and Canada. You can choose from a variety of occasions and styles. There’s the Thinking of You flowers, Just Because and I’m Sorry flowers just to name a few.

Teleflora featured three new bouquets that captured the authenticity and spirit of the festive family holiday traditions. The trio includes a holly motif- serving bowl, a gingerbread-house cookie jar and a merry mug. Each of these bouquets will arrive with a Teleflora exclusive holiday recipe. For example, a chocolate-dipped cookie recipe accompanies the Gingerbread Cookie Jar Bouquet. Cake Boss Buddy Valastro and Teleflora collaborated and recipes are courtesy of him.

My kids loved their Gingerbread Cookie Jar Bouquet. It made a great centerpiece on their table. Once the flowers have passed on the cookie jar is a special treat for the kids to grab cookies. Check out and order from the Homemade for the Holiday collection. Twitter: @Teleflora

Lands End my absolutely favorite store for apparel, outerwear, footwear and home items made sure they did what they do best and brought us their holiday outfits for a few lucky bloggers to model. I loved the black sleeveless ponte sheath dress with pockets and cashmere dress cardigan sweater in red on one of the models. The cardigan gave it that pop of color. The jewelry from Stella & Dot was sparkly and amazing. The whole outfit makes a great look for holiday parties. I also adores the Déjà Vu Double-Sided Stud earrings from Stella & Dot. I need to purchase these quickly.

Lands End also showed us gifts to please everyone on your list. Cozy pajamas, socks and slippers, and warm hats, gloves and scarves.
Stella & Dot had a table full of beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Mother, daughter, niece, aunt whoever they won’t be disappointed if any of these were handed to them. Twitter: @landsend @stelladot

Walkers Shortbread cookies melted in my mouth. I love shortbread cookies and was happy to see they have festive shapes for everyone to decorate with ease. I can leave the cookie shapers and flour in the cabinet and just buy the cookies, icing and sprinkles and my kids and I can make a mess without making a big mess. I rather spend hours decorating and not having to turn on the oven. For more info click here : Twitter: @shortbread

Vermont Nut Free Chocolates are you guessed it, NUT FREE!! There are so many people allergic to nuts so it’s good to know we can buy all the chocolate we want with this company. I’m a chocoholic so I made sure to try lots of samples. Even the chocolate covered pretzels were good. Check out the website for gifts and other treats. Twitter: @vermontnutfree

Priv stopped by giving manicures to those who wanted it. I’ve been to quite a few events with Priv where I’ve gotten manicures or makeup done. They come to your home and hook you up. Follow them on Twitter: @gopriv

The Duck Brand is for that crafty, DIY person. My kids and I love duck tape and crafting. Love the ideas they showed us on how to decorate your Christmas table with tape. They made a place mat, utensil holder, gift box and name card. Can’t wait to get crafty with my kids. Follow on Twitter for great ideas @theduckbrand Web:

I See Me company for personalized children books. So many to choose from for babies, girls, boys. We received a voucher for a personalized book. Twitter: @iseeme_maia Website:

Little Me stylish, fashionable child appropriate clothing. I loved dressing my babies in Little Me when they were growing up. From newborn to toddler, soft cotton, terrycloth and velour. “Little Me believes babies should always be comfortable, snuggly and safe, free to do what they do best: play, sleep and thrive.” The pajamas were too cute. Check out the clothes at and on Twitter: @littleme_baby

Apothederm Skin Care provided products in the gift bag. They take care of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and stretch marks. You can take a look at their products at and on Twitter: @apothederm

Peanut Hottie gave away a gift basket full of their products and kitchen gadgets. They also had samples in the gift bag. Have you ever had a peanut butter hot drink? Neither have I but I will try it and let you know how it is. Just 83 calories. That’s incredible. Available at Walmart. Twitter: @PeanutHottieUSA

We also had a catered dinner with great sandwiches and wine. There were raffles, a fashion show and great conversation. Nicole even showed us her accessory picks. I enjoyed myself as always and want to thank Nicole Feliciano and Sherri Schubert @Momtrends for another great event!!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was given a gift bag full of goodies from the sponsors. Opinions are mine as always all 100%.

Single Edition Media invited women to #CelebrateInStyle at their holiday preview event at Glasshouses in NYC.
Sponsors came out for a wonderful night to show their holiday products and fashion trends.
As soon as I reached the 21st floor I was greeted by the first sponsor of the night DSW. One of my favorite shoes stores I couldn’t wait to see what holiday gifts they brought with them. They had everything from animal print shoes, sparkly jewelry and tights, even hats that sparkled with rhinestones and dressy clutches. Of course I wanted it all. Check out @DSWShoeLovers on Twitter.

Vigoss Jeans treated attendees to a free pair of jeans to take home when you stopped by their table. I loved the new styles. I picked a shiny black pair. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram @VigossUSA

Diamonds are my best friend and Bulova was showcasing their amazing watches. Slim watches are what’s in now. Bulova gave away three watches. Unfortunately I didn’t win but I will own a Bulova one day. Check out these watches on Twitter: @Bulova

Sears Style knows that a woman doesn’t have to pay a fortune to look like a million bucks. With their new Metaphor line where everything is under $100. Lace, faux leather and tweed my favorites were a big hit. Attendees walked away with small prizes after posting a pic on Instagram with their hashtag and waiting for the vending machine to drop a little something. I won a gift card.

Silk ‘n Solution the professional aesthetic devices for home use was giving away gift baskets to five lucky attendees worth $700 full of their products. Thirty attendees won a ReVit or Flash & Go device. I won a Flash & Go permanent hair removal device which is great. No more disposable razors. Yippee! Who wouldn’t want spa products in their home compared to going to an actual spa and saving so much money. I want the Sonic Clean Plus which is a deep skin cleansing device that removes dead skin cells on your body and face with vibrating or pulsating modes. It removes 6 times more makeup and dirt than hands alone. Attendees also had a coupon for a free Silk ‘n Pedi in their gift bags. This can be used for dry callused skin. Check their website:

Jergens Skincare knew every woman would love their BB body cream for all skin types. I was already a fan of Jergens products but this just sealed the deal. This lotion goes on sheer, dries quickly and works like a moisturizer to visibly improve your skin with every use. Available in 2 shade fair to medium and medium to tan skin tones. Samples were given out at their table and a bigger sample was in our gift bags. Twitter: @JergensUS

Elizabeth Arden had me blushing for their new perfume Untold Absolu. This sensual fragrance is perfect for the winter season. Florals, red plum, ginger and bursts of raspberry is what makes this perfume my pick of the season. There was also a makeup artist who gave guests lipstick touch ups. On their website you can see all their collections. Twitter: @elizabetharden

Gardein hooked guests up with their healthy meat-free foods. We had their fish & fries, tacos, chicken and turkey cutlets. Amazing! Nothing wrong with vegetarian food. I love spicy black bean burgers too. Twitter: @gardein and on the web at

In Style is known for fashion, beauty and celebrity buzz you need to know. They showed everyone love at their table with jewelry to take a sneak peek at and copies of their magazine. Web: @InStyle on Twitter.

GlasshousesNYC is one of the best event space for any venue in NYC with spectacular views of Manhattan. Located at 545 West 25th St. I love events at night because the pictures of the background are breathtaking. Fir more info visit or on Twitter @GlasshousesNYC

There was also a presentation with all of the sponsors talking about their products. Also, In Style beauty director Kahlana Barfield talked about trends for Spring 2015. I’m still fascinated when it comes to makeup and learning how to apply bold or pastel eyeshadow, bright red lip and the winged mascara look. I’m loving the matte lip personally and the amazing smells of some of the perfumes.

Big shout outs to @Tagspire and @SingleEdition (Single Edition Media) If you’re a blogger or social media fan or brand you must check them out. Thank you for inviting me. It was wonderful!!!

These were just some of the sponsors that were present. More sponsored products were included in the gift bags. I’d like to thank all of them and everyone who made this event possible. Can’t wait till the next one.

@MAKEcolour and @BirchBox #birchbloggers breakfast #makeup #cosmetics

14 Nov

Today I was invited to attend a BirchBox breakfast for #birchbloggers in the only BirchBox store in Soho, NY 433 West Broadway. MAKEColour the colour cosmetics brand that finds beauty in inspiration were here to show everyone their cosmetics line, talk about their products and give makeovers.

MAKE believes there are no beauty rules. MAKE believes in make-believe. Each woman is driven by an artistic approach to her own personal reality. It’s beautiful to be inspired by your imagination, to be outspoken, intelligent, confident.

Each season MAKE Will pair two unlikely artists to create their palette and collection. They will then ask emerging make-up artists to share theirs too. Their vision is to incite a continual never-ending journey of collaboration.

For every purchase you make at MAKE , one-third of the sales will be donated to the We See Beauty Foundation that will fund next generation cooperative businesses in America, women-led, worker-owned. We See Beauty is the first social enterprise in the beauty industry dedicated to the advancement of the cooperative movement. Check out this (non-profit organization) at for more info.

Eyeshadows come in Matte or Satin Finish and no filters. The crease-free formula can be brushed on dry, or try wet for a lingering, intense glaze. Water resistant Brow Pens with special felt tip point or Brow Sculpting Duo is also available. Long lasting Gel Eyeliners that are vegan and Defining Mascara is a must have as well.

I’ve always loved matte lipstick or lip pencil. These lipsticks are creamy with hydrating formula, Vitamin C and goes on smooth for a luxurious look that lasts. Apply over lip primer and after using lip pencil. MAKE lipsticks are NOT tested on animals, paraben-free, fragrance-free, preservative-free and hypoallergenic. Lots of gorgeous colors to choose from and only $25 with 33.3% of all sales on donated to the We See Beauty Foundation.

I love mascara and MAKE’s Defining Mascara is going on my wish list. All you need is one coat of this high definition mascara to create long, lush lashes. Smudge-proof and stays on flake-free for hours. The plush brush separates and curls lashes with just one sweep.

I also enjoyed how soft the makeup brushes were. The powder brush is made of goat hair and designed to grab powder for an even, flawless application. The blush brush is also made of natural goat hair. The lip brush with synthetic bristles provide excellent color coverage great for both gloss and lipstick. Need the whole collection.

MAKE launched in January, 2013 and is manufactured right here in NY.

I had a great time listening to how this brand MAKE came about and can’t wait to use my freebies that were provided in the gift bag.

Don’t forget to check out for the best way to shop for beauty. Twitter: @birchbox

The Secret Extensions Media Event was recently held at Paul Labrecque Salon & Spa 171 E 65th St in NYC. If you don’t know what Secret Extensions are well it’s a secret so I can’t tell you but you can go on their website and find out more info.

Okay I’ll tell you what it is but I still want you to check out the website.
How many of you know actress /tv personality Daisy Fuentes? She’s the face behind Secret Extensions the patented headband which is completely invisible with hair attached. Thicker, fuller, longer hair in seconds. Secret Extensions are made of an all new keratin conditioned fiber that moves like, feels like, and looks like the real thing! The best part is, Secret Extensions are available in 11 different colors to perfectly blend in with your hair!

I’ve never worn extensions, wigs, or weaves but knew I wanted to give this a try just to see how you can go from limp or thin hair to a full head within seconds. It is very light weight which I loved and the colors match your hair color perfectly unless you want to go lighter or darker or even wear 2 colors at the same time. The extensions are 16″ long. If you want it shorter it can be cut. You can wash it, brush it with a soft bristle flat brush and use a curler or straightener. The string is not replaceable but with the special offer of Buy 1 get the 2nd for $29.99 I’d say it’s worth it to just buy more.

I tried the dark brown and brown black because I have those natural colors in my hair. I might try the light red brown the next time. What I also like is I didn’t have to dye my hair in a salon or get any type of weave or wig and be upset if it wasn’t what I expected. This is easy. Just put on like a headband if I like the color it stays on, if I don’t it’s not a problem just easily take off. No damage done.

I received two different hairstyles at the event and when I got home I tried out a few more. What a difference hair makes. Someone said I looked like a princess. I felt like Rapunzel. I love it and will be sporting my new look with pride. My favorite look is what I tried out which is the side pony. I also love braids. I don’t know how to make a fishbraid but I will have someone make one for me.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was given a swag bag with goodies and hair extensions of course. Opinions are mine 100% as always.
