LAUNCH ALERT: I SCREAM FOR CARVEL’S NUTELLA ICE CREAM #Giveaway

I remember my mother taking my sister and I to Carvel to get flying saucer ice cream sandwiches. Those were our absolute favorite. I also enjoyed the old fashioned sundaes and the brown bonnet. As I got older their milkshakes and soft serve I’ve cream cones were a must have on a hot day. My kids now enjoy Carvel’s with me. I love summer time when ice cream shoppes launch new flavors for their customers to try. Carvel is doing that this summer with their new flavor Nutella launching June 30th. In my house we are huge Nutella and Carvel fans so this flavor couldn’t have come to a better ice cream shoppe. Nutella will be available in (participating) shoppes starting June 30th. The flavors include a hand-scooped chocolate ice cream that’s layered with Nutella hazelnut spread, Carvel Crunchies and topped with more Nutella. A soft-serve ice cream made with Nutella spread. The Sundae Dasher with Banana (Nutella soft-serve and bananas topped with whipped cream and more Nutella). ORIENTAL TRADING PARTY SUPPLIES FOR ALL OCCASIONS AND EVENTS

My second-born graduated from High School and we were all excited and proud to see him walk down that aisle after all his hard work and dedication. I want to thank him for sticking with it till the end. Some kids give up and it’s not as easy now as it was when I was in school. I graduated from high school, my oldest son graduated and I have two more to go. I love graduations, knowing that everyone is proud of you and you don’t have to go back to school. Of course there’s college for some, work for others, or traveling. Whatever it is you do just continue to shine and make your parents proud.

I love throwing parties , cooking and party planning. I also love buying in bulk when I know I have lots of guests coming over. That’s where Oriental Trading comes in. LITTLEST PET SHOP SEASON 3 PREMIERE & NEW 2014 FALL LINE #LPSPremiere

My daughter and I headed down to Bryant Park Hotel for an exclusive premiere of Season 3 and a sneak peek at the upcoming Littlest Pet Shop Fall line. My son decided to sit this one out because it was a girl event he said.

Once inside we were greeted by all the new toys, clothes and accessories that were going to be available this Fall. We loved the playing with the toys and the sneakers, and backpack were a big hit. If you know my daughter she wanted it all. Lol.

After we checked out the collection we were given popcorn, water, cookies, goldfish and a banana to go enjoy a few episodes from the show that is airing June 7 and 21st on the Hub Network. The premiere episode aired May 31st at 9:30 a.m EST.

My daughter also took a picture with stuffed animal Penny who was seated in the theater for all the kids to take a photo with.

The episodes were great and my daughter has always been a fan. She makes sure not to miss an episode and plays with her toys everyday.

We enjoyed our mommy and daughter day with Hasbro and the Littlest Pet Shop.

LEARN HOW TO RIDE A BIKE WITH “JYROBIKE”

I’m excited to announce that Jyrobike, launched its Kickstarter campaign June 3, 2014.

DINOSAURS HAVE TAKEN OVER SECAUCUS, NJ @jerseysaurus #giveaway

Did you know there are Dinosaurs living in Secaucus, NJ? Tell your family you’re on your way to see the 32 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs at Field Station Dinosaurs. This expedition of realistic dinosaurs is amazing. There’s even a 90 foot long Argentinosaurus (the largest animatronic dinosaur ever made) that comes to life thanks to roboticists.

My kids and I hopped on the NJ Transit from Penn Station which took only 9 minutes and a 10 minute walk from train. The adult ticket was only $8 round-trip and kids 11 and under are free on weekends which is when we went. I was happy. We met up with Denise from Boyz Rule Our World. We took our kids exploring with these creatures along the 3/4 mile trail. There are workshops, games and activities for the kids along the trail. They also get to dig for prehistoric fossils and dinosaur skeletons at the Fossil Dig Site. T-Rex showed up at the “Dino Whodunit” presentation and I could hear screams from the front. It looked so real even with the person feet underneath. They played a game with the audience and T-Rex was blind folded.

Kids and adults please wear sneakers and socks because sand and rocks will be traveling with you throughout the day. I wore the wrong shoe and paid for it. Lol.

Our ticket included a stop at the Commander’s Tent which is air conditioned and includes a 3D movie “Dinosaurs Alive.”This tent was beautifully decorated by IKEA and has books for the readers and we were greeted by a baby herbivore that the kids fed a bottle to. It was so cute, very affectionate and friendly. They also got to hold it. Now that I wouldn’t mind petting but those big ones no thank you.

The Lookout is gated off and you look over to see what’s lurking in the woods. I thought something was going to run up to us and let out a loud roar but it didn’t. I guess it’s there for your imagination to wonder what could be down there. (Smart)

After the kids saw every single dinosaur, and explored they were ready for lunch which was kindly provided to us bloggers. The weather was great and so was our adventure. We will definitely be going back and are thinking about “Dozin With Dinos Overnight Adventure.” This is a campout with the dinosaurs under the stars, lantern lit trail, s’mores, songs, campfire and other goodies. This takes place from August 2-23 from 7pm- 8am.

I’ve been doing laundry for years and my clothes, comforters, towels have yet to have a long lasting fresh smell till the next laundry day. I’ve had detergents that make my clothes smell good for that day but then that’s it. I want my clothes and towels to have that same smell for at least a week. I’ve recently discovered Snuggle Scent Boosters at an event I was invited to.

I never knew something so powerful with an amazing scent was the answer to my problems. Snuggle has always been my favorite bear in commercials. I always wanted one to squeeze and hold. When the commercial came on I would stop what I was doing and tune in. I was so excited when Snuggle bear paid us a visit at the event and talked to me. He’s so cute. He even let me take a selfie with him and we got a group shot. I also got to take home a Snuggle bear. Well, it might have taken me over 30 years to finally get a Snuggle bear but it was worth the wait. Let me be honest, my daughter took it over but we share. Lol.

So, I recently headed to my laundromat and took these amazing Scent Boosters with me along with the dryer sheets and tested hem out. First of all let me tell you how easy it was to use them. Just throw them in the drum of your machine then add the clothes. That’s it! Since I’m not used to having anything that works that easy when doing laundry sometimes I would forget to add the booster before the clothes and had to lift all my clothes to check. Then I finally got the hang of it.

The Scent Boosters come in Lavender Joy and Blue Iris Bliss. I like both scents. When my laundry was finished my clothes came out smelling very good and couldn’t wait to add more scent to it with the Snuggle Exhilaration Dryer Sheets in White Lavender & Sandalwood. When I got home with the laundry the kids couldn’t stop smelling the clothes, especially the sheets that went on the beds right away. These dryer sheets are phenomenal. My towels, clothes, & linen still smelled fresh a week later.

I gotta give credit to the scent sommelier. There are people who have the pleasure of coming up with these amazing scents so we can enjoy our laundry smell for more than a day. The sommelier explained how they created these scents and the training they have to do to become one. They have their work cut out for them and I’m glad they chose these scents. Their noses aren’t no joke. I told the sommelier my kids would probably love to do what she does because they have the gift of smells. They smell things I don’t even smell, or things that might take me longer to smell that they can pick up right away. She told me to have them apply. They will be the next generation sommeliers.

SHOPPING FOR SUMMER CLOTHES WITH @PSFromAero & @strollerinthecity #SITCepickids

When I get invited to a fashion show or shopping event of any kind I get excited because I know I’m leaving with something for me or my kids or all of us. I also know the best stores to shop at, and the ones that will get me my money’s worth.

This time it was for my kids and I am so glad because my kids grow so fast and are in need of new spring/summer clothes. The only thing with my eleven year old is he’s not fitting into kids clothes anymore. He’s the same size as my eighteen, and twenty-three year old believe it or not.

Brianne Manz founder of Strollerinthecity had another kids event at the P.S. from Aeropostale store in the Manhattan Mall, May 19th. This was a 2-hour shopping event where we got 20% off the entire store, photo booth (Polaroid Portal) for the kids, refreshments from Treathouse, water, juice, a DJ spinning top hits, coloring activities, and the best part picking out new outfits.

The first thing I noticed was the Buy One, Get Two free sections. Yes, you heard right. Not Buy One, Get One Free. It’s Buy One, Get Two Free!!! That was for all the t-shirts, shorts, and tanks. Also, there was already 40% & 50% off in the store. I loved the bright colors, sandals, and cool accessories. My daughter wanted it all. I loved what she picked out. She recently wore her outfit to an event and everyone loved it. The boys collection had Major League Baseball items, cool sunglasses, swimming trunks, and bright colorful polos. My son picked out a great smelling cologne.

Once my kids friends came we stayed a little longer so they could have fun time with them even though we had two more events that same day to attend. A mother’s job is never done.

Prices were incredible and I will be going back to purchase more for my daughter. The adult store is also joined together so adults can shop too. That’s where I will get my eleven year old clothes from.

It was a fun filled morning checking out the spring collection and enjoying treats and discounts.

GET ALL THE HOT NEW TOYS THIS SPRING!! #TTPM

I enjoyed playing with toys at the #TTPM Spring Showcase on May 1st. I got to look at the hottest new toys, video games, baby products, sporting goods, and playthings for this season. I love talking to the representatives and executives from the companies, and manufacturers and learning about what’s in store for our children and myself because I’m a big kid and love toys too. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with parents playing with toys.

Mattel, Lego, Hasbro, Razor, Leapfrog, Nickelodeon, Zing, and Crayola were in attendance and that was just a few. Jakks came through with their new toys for Spring and Summer like a giant 43″ long Godzilla, new Nintendo line, dolls from DISNEY’S Maleficent, Frozen dolls and dress up, and their exclusive Whimsy & Wonder line.

I was all over the floor visiting every booth to test out the toys and get the scoop in what my kids would like.

Crayola will always be in my house whether my kids are small or grown. They’re always thinking of something that we all can have fun with. I love the new Chalk Grab n’ Go Games. My kids can throw this in their backpacks and use the chalk outside while playing fun games.

Nickelodeon is part of my kids. The first channel that goes on in the house is Nickelodeon and my kids are super excited to get their hands on SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys. My daughter has her eye on the Krabby Patty maker which comes out in the fall, and the TMNT bikes. My son likes all the TMNT toys and a few Spongebob toys as well. We received a few TMNT toys in the mail along with the cool Brita bottles for them to have filtered water on the go. We also were sent a Spongebob kite that will come in handy this summer.

Razor keeps coming out with scooters to keep the next generation active for outdoor play. With bright colors and extended handles for growth kids will always want to go outside with their scooters (weather permitted). I know my kids always want me to bring their scooters wherever we go. They are growing so big it’s time for an upgrade. I love the new collection of scooters for toddlers.

Hasbro toys are for the movie fans that love collecting and taking characters on an adventure just like in the movie. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 toys are popular in my house. My son saw the movie and loves to pretend he’s part of it when playing with his collection. He wants all the toys from that movie. Transformers is another favorite of my son. He’s writing a list for me and so is my daughter.

Leapfrog has cool Fit for Fun Leap Band that’s geared towards fitness for kids.
Mattel showed us the latest Hot Wheels, and Disney toys.

I played with Nerf products like Nerf Rebelle for girls. Loved shooting darts, or bow and arrows, or super soakers. All our favorites.

Zing Toys had my eyes wide open with their new summer items like the Zano Bow, X6 Zoom Rocket, and Sky Gliderz. My kids love the sample of the Zano Bow that was given to me. This can be played indoors or out. We can’t wait to test out the rest. The Zoom Rocket will have us playing outdoors for hours.

Frozen dolls and accessories are just what every girl wants, including my daughter.
V tech toys had the Inno Tabs. My daughter wants the whole collection. They also have Go Smart Wheels vehicles for toddlers.
SpinMaster Toys had great ice cream and slushy makers by Chill Factory that I must get my hands on. Also paw patrol pets for those fans out there. Loved the How To Train Your Dragon bath sets too. For you How To Train Your Dragon fans, Ionixbricks has a giant toothless battle set!

Awesome Star Wars yo-yo’s from Yomeagcorp.
Must get a bouncy, air filled, super durable, waterproof Yall Ball. I had fun with this. So light, different sizes and some can be used as an exercise ball, or to sit on and have fun.

I had a great time at #TTPM Spring Showcase and can’t wait till the next one. My kids on the other hand can’t wait that long and want it all now. Lol.

GOOD TIMES INDEED WHEN THERE’S A #MAMARAZZI EVENT WITH @themoms

Denise and Melissa of @themoms have been keeping my kids and I very busy this year with soooo many events. Some I couldn’t attend but the ones I could I am so glad I did. We always have an amazing time and I get to see all my friends, and so do my kids, and we just relax for a few hours. It is truly a blessing for the things that have come my way because of being a blogger. I take my job very serious and appreciate everything and everyone.

That morning before the Amazing Spider-Man Red Carpet we attended Denise and Melissa had a book signing and luncheon with the fabulous Robin Roberts news anchor from “Good Morning America.” I took my mother in law along with me so she could meet Robin and enjoy a good steak at the famous NYY Steak restaurant.
“Everybody’s got something.” That’s what Robin Roberts’ mother used to tell her. For the “Good Morning America” co-anchor, her something was myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS, a rare blood disorder. Roberts, a breast cancer survivor, underwent a bone marrow transplant in September 2012 to treat MDS, receiving donor cells from her sister, Sally Ann, and candidly documented her journey.
Now, in a new memoir, “Everybody’s Got Something,” out today, she opens up her battle and the incredible support system — including her family, and friends, who helped her get through it all, from the shock of the diagnosis through each milestone in her recovery.
I enjoyed the luncheon and I am currently reading her book. Her book is currently available for purchase in your major bookstores or online. #robertsmamarazzi

We also attended The Legends of Oz Dorothy’s Return screening about 5 days later and had a Q&A with Megan Hilty at the Park Avenue Screening Room. My kids and I enjoyed this movie very much. I think all the characters were fun. Dorothy going back to Kansas to help out her friends. Who would ever imagine? The kids had treats from Baked by Melissa and my son even managed to snag a selfie with Megan Hilty. Megan Hilty’s character in the movie is the “China Princess.” She did a great job. This movie was fun. In theaters now!! #LegendsOfOz

The next event was held at Dylan’s Candy Bar for the Happy Baby Foundation Charity event with shoe designer Yosi Samra

The Happy Baby Foundation is dedicated to identifying and investing in the most promising research for this genetic disorder. Most exciting is that the cross-lateral results of Prader- Willi Syndrome research has opened doors to treatments for not only those suffering with PWS, but other debilitating conditions as well. Such side effects as lack of hunger control and associated obesity, delayed development and motor skills, emotional issues, and chemical imbalances can be treated allowing these beautiful children to fulfill their potential and to enjoy a happy life.

Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) is a genetic disorder that occurs in approximately one out of every 15,000 births. PWS affects males and females with equal frequency and affects all races and ethnicities. PWS is recognized as the most common genetic cause of life-threatening childhood obesity. Guests attending were able to get their hair braided at the John Barrett Braid Bar, snag a cool temporary tattoo from Tattly and grab some goodies from Egg by Susan Lazar. Enjoyed lite bites and beverages from Freshmade NYC and Arizona Beverage Company. Also my daughter received a free pair of Yosi Samra shoes and I purchased a pair for myself. It was all for a good cause. Had a great time!!
