I MADE A #BigSnifference WITH @Snuggle_Bear SCENT BOOSTERS via fivelittlewords.net

I’ve been doing laundry for years and my clothes, comforters, towels have yet to have a long lasting fresh smell till the next laundry day. I’ve had detergents that make my clothes smell good for that day but then that’s it. I want my clothes and towels to have that same smell for at least a week. I’ve recently discovered Snuggle Scent Boosters at an event I was invited to.

I never knew something so powerful with an amazing scent was the answer to my problems. Snuggle has always been my favorite bear in commercials. I always wanted one to squeeze and hold. When the commercial came on I would stop what I was doing and tune in. I was so excited when Snuggle bear paid us a visit at the event and talked to me. He’s so cute. He even let me take a selfie with him and we got a group shot. I also got to take home a Snuggle bear. Well, it might have taken me over 30 years to finally get a Snuggle bear but it was worth the wait. Let me be honest, my daughter took it over but we share. Lol.

So, I recently headed to my laundromat and took these amazing Scent Boosters with me along with the dryer sheets and tested hem out. First of all let me tell you how easy it was to use them. Just throw them in the drum of your machine then add the clothes. That’s it! Since I’m not used to having anything that works that easy when doing laundry sometimes I would forget to add the booster before the clothes and had to lift all my clothes to check. Then I finally got the hang of it.

The Scent Boosters come in Lavender Joy and Blue Iris Bliss. I like both scents. When my laundry was finished my clothes came out smelling very good and couldn’t wait to add more scent to it with the Snuggle Exhilaration Dryer Sheets in White Lavender & Sandalwood. When I got home with the laundry the kids couldn’t stop smelling the clothes, especially the sheets that went on the beds right away. These dryer sheets are phenomenal. I put them in the shoe closet, shoes, the bathroom, & gym bags. I never liked using dryer sheets but I am hooked with these and the scent boosters that these will always be with me when I do laundry. My towels, clothes, & linen still smelled fresh a week later.

I gotta give credit to the scent sommelier. There are people who have the pleasure of coming up with these amazing scents so we can enjoy our laundry smell for more than a day. The sommelier explained how they created these scents and the training they have to do to become one. They have their work cut out for them and I’m glad they chose these scents. Their noses aren’t no joke. I told the sommelier my kids would probably love to do what she does because they have the gift of smells. They smell things I don’t even smell, or things that might take me longer to smell that they can pick up right away. She told me to have them apply. They will be the next generation sommeliers.

GET ALL THE HOT NEW TOYS THIS SPRING!! #TTPM

I enjoyed playing with toys at the #TTPM Spring Showcase on May 1st. I got to look at the hottest new toys, video games, baby products, sporting goods, and playthings for this season. I love talking to the representatives and executives from the companies, and manufacturers and learning about what’s in store for our children and myself because I’m a big kid and love toys too. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with parents playing with toys.

Mattel, Lego, Hasbro, Razor, Leapfrog, Nickelodeon, Zing, and Crayola were in attendance and that was just a few. Jakks came through with their new toys for Spring and Summer like a giant 43″ long Godzilla, new Nintendo line, dolls from DISNEY’S Maleficent, Frozen dolls and dress up, and their exclusive Whimsy & Wonder line.

I was all over the floor visiting every booth to test out the toys and get the scoop in what my kids would like.

Crayola will always be in my house whether my kids are small or grown. They’re always thinking of something that we all can have fun with. I love the new Chalk Grab n’ Go Games. My kids can throw this in their backpacks and use the chalk outside while playing fun games.

Nickelodeon is part of my kids. The first channel that goes on in the house is Nickelodeon and my kids are super excited to get their hands on SpongeBob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle toys. My daughter has her eye on the Krabby Patty maker which comes out in the fall, and the TMNT bikes. My son likes all the TMNT toys and a few Spongebob toys as well. We received a few TMNT toys in the mail along with the cool Brita bottles for them to have filtered water on the go. We also were sent a Spongebob kite that will come in handy this summer.

Razor keeps coming out with scooters to keep the next generation active for outdoor play. With bright colors and extended handles for growth kids will always want to go outside with their scooters (weather permitted). I know my kids always want me to bring their scooters wherever we go. They are growing so big it’s time for an upgrade. I love the new collection of scooters for toddlers.

Hasbro toys are for the movie fans that love collecting and taking characters on an adventure just like in the movie. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 toys are popular in my house. My son saw the movie and loves to pretend he’s part of it when playing with his collection. He wants all the toys from that movie. Transformers is another favorite of my son. He’s writing a list for me and so is my daughter.

Leapfrog has cool Fit for Fun Leap Band that’s geared towards fitness for kids.
Mattel showed us the latest Hot Wheels, and Disney toys.

I played with Nerf products like Nerf Rebelle for girls. Loved shooting darts, or bow and arrows, or super soakers. All our favorites.

Zing Toys had my eyes wide open with their new summer items like the Zano Bow, X6 Zoom Rocket, and Sky Gliderz. My kids love the sample of the Zano Bow that was given to me. This can be played indoors or out. We can’t wait to test out the rest. The Zoom Rocket will have us playing outdoors for hours.

Frozen dolls and accessories are just what every girl wants, including my daughter.
V tech toys had the Inno Tabs. My daughter wants the whole collection. They also have Go Smart Wheels vehicles for toddlers.
SpinMaster Toys had great ice cream and slushy makers by Chill Factory that I must get my hands on. Also paw patrol pets for those fans out there. Loved the How To Train Your Dragon bath sets too. For you How To Train Your Dragon fans, Ionixbricks has a giant toothless battle set!

Awesome Star Wars yo-yo’s from Yomeagcorp.
Must get a bouncy, air filled, super durable, waterproof Yall Ball. I had fun with this. So light, different sizes and some can be used as an exercise ball, or to sit on and have fun.

I had a great time at #TTPM Spring Showcase and can’t wait till the next one. My kids on the other hand can’t wait that long and want it all now. Lol.

MY KIDS #POWERUP WITH DANIMALS SUPERSTARS GREEK LOWFAT YOGURT

Dannon recently launched the new Danimals SuperStars Greek Lowfat Yogurt. My kids, cousin, and I were excited to attend the launch and try out their new product. I’ve always loved yogurt and my kids eat nonfat yogurt. The Greek lowfat yogurt would be something new for them to try. There a variety of flavors to try and my kids seemed to have liked the Cotton Candy flavor the most. I liked the Strawberry Slide.

Dr. Tanya R. Altmann talked to the group about nutrition. She said kids need 15-25 grams of protein a day, depending on their age. Adults need 50 grams. Kids also need 3 servings of dairy products a day. With this Greek yogurt you can make a smoothie, dip, milkshake, or substitute the cream cheese on a bagel with the yogurt. Physical activity is important and should be 1 hr a day for kids. Sports is great for learning to interact with other people, following instructions, and getting along with other people. Role modeling healthy habits is important because whatever you do kids will follow.

Growing up I remember my father telling me I couldn’t get up from the table till I finished everything on my plate. Was he being a good parent for saying that? Was he really concerned about me eating healthy, or did the thought of me wasting food something he didn’t approve of? Well I can honestly say the food he was feeding me was not that healthy, and I think he used to say “there are kids starving out here so don’t waste your food.” Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t junk food he was giving me. It was more like steak and potatoes, Spanish dishes, flan for dessert, an occasional octopus which I’m pretty sure I told my mom I’m not eating that. Lol.

What I’m trying to say is in the present now that I have kids and have learned what’s good and not good for my kids, I wouldn’t give them anything I wouldn’t eat. I don’t think my parents were reading labels on products back in the 70’s. If they only knew what chemicals were going into our bodies I’m sure they would have not fed it to us.

When I go into the grocery stores the first thing I look for on labels is “high fructose corn syrup.” If it doesn’t contain that or any artificial flavors and I think it can benefit my kids I will get it. If I knew what soda had in it I wouldn’t have drunk it when I was growing up. I gave it up years ago and it is banned from our house.

My kids are very active at school and after. There’s not a day that goes by when they are running, jumping, playing, or just singing. They love outdoor activities, and I love taking them on adventures. We like to explore and find new things to do. I make sure that my kids are fed a healthy breakfast that would keep them satisfied till lunch. Every kid is different when it comes to food. My daughter loves her fruits, my son loves his eggs, and waffles, my other son likes breakfast sandwiches, and my oldest will grab coffee and eat when he gets to work.

I agree, and with Easter on the way no one knows what they are going to get, but I know what everyone wants. C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E!!!!! Easter just wouldn’t be Easter without chocolate candy, the Easter bunny, jelly beans, or a scavenger hunt but I’ve got even more things to add to the list for your Easter basket.

When I was invited to the HERSHEY’S Easter Blogger Event given by The Licensing Company I knew I was going to be in for a chocolate treat but what I’m about to share with you will make you stop what you’re doing and re-arrange your Easter gift baskets if you’ve already started working on them. You are going to want to add more to it.

Growing up I really didn’t want to play with dolls, so I asked my father to buy me a train set. I got my train set and was very happy. To this day when I see a train set I just want to play all day with it. I wanted to take it home at that very moment but I left it for the other guests to look at. I also have a great DIY craft project for parents and their little bunny hoppers to work on. It’s called “Easter Critter Cups.” My kids and I love arts and craft projects and this looks like a fun craft. Here’s what you will need to get you started.

5 oz plastic cups
Pipe cleaner or chenille stems
Craft foam – Pink, white and orange
Scissors
Wire cutters
Low temperature hot glue gun and glue sticks
Wiggle eyes
Black magic marker
Pompoms
Yellow feathers
Construction paper – yellow and white
Tape
Easter grass
A variety of HERSHEY’S Easter chocolates and candies

DIRECTIONS:

1. Using the template cut out the construction paper and wrap it around the cup. Secure the construction paper ends together with tape.
2. To make the handle, use the wire cutters to cut a pipe cleaner (chenille stem). Then with the glue gun, glue each end of the pipe cleaner to the inside of the cup. Let dry.
3. For the bunny, use the white craft foam to cut out two separate ear shapes. Then use the pink foam to cut out the inner ear – mimic the shape of the larger white ear, but size it down slightly. With the glue gun attach the pink foam onto the white foam and then glue the ears to the inside front of the cup. To create whiskers, take the wire cutters and cut a pipe cleaner into two equal pieces. Twist the whiskers into the desired shape and glue to the front of the cup. Let dry.
4. For the duck, take the orange craft foam and cut out an oval shape to create a beak. Fold the craft foam in half and with the glue gun attach the beak at the fold to the front of the cup. For the feet, cut out a u- shape and on the straight side cut out little triangle pieces to create the toes, (four toes for each foot). Glue the feet to the bottom of the cup. Let dry.
5. Glue two wiggle eyes to the front of the cup near center.
6. For the bunny, glue a pompom below the eyes for a nose and use the magic marker to draw the mouth and teeth.
7. For the duckling glue yellow feathers to each side of the cup.
8. Let it dry completely.
9. Put a little Easter grass in each cup and fill with HERSHEY’S Easter chocolates and candies.

DYSON’S NEW CORDLESS VACUUMS #cutthecord @dyson

As an asthmatic I can tell you that DUST is a no- no. I’m not supposed to be around it, breathe it, or have things that attract it like carpet, stuffed animals, etc. The things that I have no control over that I need dust attracts like curtains, glass t.v. stand, lamp shades, ceiling fan, even an air conditioner. There are dust and germs everywhere and I been trying my hardest for years to live dust free but it seems like the gadgets that are out just isn’t doing anything for me until I was recently invited to the launch of Dyson’s new cordless vacuum cleaner Digital Slim DC59. I never used a vacuum cleaner in my apartment because I thought it was just for carpets and I don’t have carpets, just a few area rugs and a bathroom mat. That’s it, but don’t get me wrong I’ve used vacuum cleaners just now where I’m at now.

Little to my surprise this machine does it all.

First of all it’s CORDLESS. Hallelujah. If there’s one thing I hate it’s tripping over cords and I’ve been doing that a lot lately. Dyson knew and heard people complaining about that and made their customers very happy by #cutthecord .
Second, very lightweight (4.65 lbs.)
Third, it has an easy to assemble docking station that charges your vacuum that lasts for 26 minutes. It can be mounted on the wall and if you ask a New Yorker with a small apartment with hardly any room this would be great for them because it’s out the way and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Genius. I had a great time vacuuming with this cordless vac. It really sucked up all the crumbs, flour, and food off the demo floors. I compared it with other brands and this did wonders. My kids would want to vacuum everyday if we had one if these. I am head over heels for this.

Here are some facts about Digital Slim DC59:

DC59 is powered by the Dyson digital motor V6. The digital motor spins at up to 110,000 times a minute, up to 3 times faster than conventional motors contributing towards the machine’s powerful suction.

Improved pick up across every floor type
DC59’s floor tool has been engineered to be lighter and improve pick-up. A self-tightening mechanism keeps the brush bar stable and a dust capture channel prevents dirt from escaping back to the floor, increasing pick-up. The new configuration of carbon fiber filaments and nylon bristle strips removes dust and dirt across carpet and hard floors.

Anything handheld is my friend and the Dyson DC 58 handheld is one powerful vacuum. This machine is not only super light, it contains extension compartments that is great for high to reach places like my ceiling fan, curtains, and cabinets which attract lots of dust. The DC58 is very lightweight too. It also has a super hygienic dirt removal system. Just push a button and you’re done. This would make a great gift for my hubby who said he needs a handheld vacuum for his car.

Run-time enhancing trigger
On when you need it, off when you don’t.
Many other handheld vacuum cleaners remain switched on from the moment cleaning starts. Battery power is wasted between cleaning tasks.
Dyson DC58 has a run-time enhancing trigger. Trigger grip releases instantly, meaning battery power is only used for vacuuming. It allows for 20 minutes of powerful suction.

This one retails for $249.99 and is also available come February.

The DC65 was another vacuum I tested out as well. Any vacuum that is Tangle -free is a thumbs up for me. With women in my household we always have hair everywhere. If this machine is that powerful that removes all kinds of hair then I’m throwing out my broom today!!

Strongest suction at the cleaner head

Hygienic and quick to empty
Emptying the bin on a Dyson vacuum is quick and hygienic. Just press the button to release the dirt. The bin is clear, so you can see when it needs emptying – and how much dust, dirt and pet hair the machine has captured. Dyson vacuums were the first to have clear bins – despite market researchers insisting it was a bad idea. Now clear bins are everywhere (though not all are made from the same ABS polycarbonate as riot shields, like Dyson bins).

Soft dusting brush
The Dyson Soft dusting brush gently removes dust and allergens from flat surfaces, delicate areas and upholstery. The fine nylon bristles are angled at 45° to sweep dust into the airflow, where it is sucked away. The front bristles are wider spaced to prevent sticking to furniture. A felt strip down the middle of the brush helps protect polished and delicate surfaces from scratching.

The Dyson DC65 retails between $499-$649.

I enjoyed learning about these great machines I would love any of them. Dyson is a brand that I trust and is going to be around for a long time. There are more surprises from Dyson coming soon so keep your eyes and ears open.
