Fiji Water & Momtrends Had Me #FijiFit

9 Aug

Momtrends invited bloggers to a morning of fitness with Fiji Water at Peloton Cycle on West 23rd in NYC, August 6, 2015. We were going to cycle for thirty-minutes and learn of a top secret announcement from Fiji Water.

I never took a indoor cycling class in my life. I’ve always avoided those type of classes because it’s non-stop up and down and working your legs. Yeah, I’ve been on bicycles and bikes in the gym but I get to control those. This was more like crank that level up to 40 and up and down. You talk about sweating. I’m still sweating just thinking about it while writing this post. Lol. Sometimes you need someone to kick your butt and tell you “come on you can do it!”. Especially when your doctor says exercise everyday. I wouldn’t mind taking more classes. I enjoyed with with my friends very much and my Fiji Water kept me hydrated throughout the class. Cody Rigsby our instructor was great and the class is streamed live. I also shot a Periscope of the workout before the lights turned out.

Fiji Water has always been me and my family’s favorite water. I am telling you the honest truth. I’ve always liked the bottles. It stands out in the store and it tastes great! So, you know when I here’s there was a secret announcement I had to know what it was.

Fiji Water has changed the look of its bottle with a narrow bodied shape by offering a 700ml bottle. How cool is that? It fits easily in strollers, car and equipment fitness cup holders. Slim looking bottle but still tastes great. I love the new shape. My kids immediately each grabbed a bottle and also noticed the difference and said they liked it and wanted more. Fiji Water it doesn’t matter what shape you come out with my family and I will always be your biggest fans.

Nicole Feliciano of Momtrends said to “pencil exercise in your schedule/calendar at least two to three times a week”. Grab a friend and have fun!

It was an awesome morning followed by a healthy delicious brunch. Love the gym bag that was given filled with Fiji Water and healthy snacks. Fiji Water is sending everyone that attended a 2 month supply of water and one of my readers will also win a 2 month supply so stay tuned on how to enter. Thank you Momtrends for a great #FijiFit morning. I needed that.

#NewTucson 2016 Hyundai Midsize Crossover

7 Aug

Hyundai hosted a special launch in NYC August 5th for its recently redesigned midsize crossover vehicle, the 2016 Tucson. This was the first time journalists had the opportunity to test drive the vehicle before the model hits dealer showrooms across America later this month.

Crossovers are one of the top selling vehicles and Hyundai has re-invented the popular segment by adding industry first features into the Tucson.

We met at The Park in Chelsea with breakfast , presentation then we got to test drive The Sport through a scenic route up the Palisades Interstate Parkway, through the Harriman State Park and back to The Park for lunch.

Our Tucson’s were across the street from The Park in the garage. Our first stop was the Rockefeller lookout which absolutely amazing. That is a great spot. Next we were off to Lake Kanawauke. When we arrived we traded our Sport for the Limited Edition.

I just have to say I really loved the way the Tucson drove. The blind spot detection with rear-cross traffic alert is always good to have as well as the rear parking sensors and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.

The ventilated front seats kept me cool so that got two thumbs up. The rear seats have adjustable recline which my kids will love. Hands free smart power liftgate with auto open and heigh setting. Just wait three seconds and your trunk will automatically open. There’s also a dual- level cargo floor. Improved road noise isolation which I appreciated very much. Premium 19″ alloy wheels.

The Limited Edition was my favorite. Leather seats, and huge sun roof was just some of the interior features.

The prominent hexagonal-shaped grille, stylishly efficient LED low-beam headlights and LED Daytime Running Lights are presented below a sculpted hood.

The standard integrated Bluetooth hands-free phone system with voice recognition lets you take calls and stream audio, without taking your hands off the wheel. There’s also a standard 5-inch color touchscreen audio system and rearview camera. At the top of the tech wish list is the 8-inch color touchscreen navigation system with a rearview camera, and NavTraffic which provides real-time road conditions that’ll help you avoid traffic jams and give a clear picture of alternative routes. Also if you have an Apple Watch it is compatible with it using Hyundai’s blue link system.

The Tucson SE 2.0L 4-cylinder engine gets up to an EPA-estimated 31 MPG Highway. The Eco, Sport and Limited’s 1.6 Turbo GDI engine steps up the horsepower to 175 and can still deliver up to an EPA-estimated 33 MPG Highway. Both engines were designed to give you the optimal balance of horsepower and MPG.

Tucson SE from $22,700

Tucson ECO from $24,150

Tucson Sport from $26,150

Tucson Limited from $29,900

Comes in beautiful colors like Caribbean Blue, Sedona Sunset, Ruby Wine, Chromium Silver, Coliseum Grey, Mojave Sand, Winter White and Ash Black. I loved all the colors but my top 3 were Caribbean Blue, Sedona Sunset and Chromium Silver.

I’m ready to take this baby on a road trip or an adventure with the family. Hope to bring you more pictures.

What color and features do you like?

LG was one of my favorites. I love their appliances and got to see the newest in washer and dryers and refrigerators. The kids made lunches to take in their plastic containers and even got aprons at the LG station. For every tweet LG donated $10 to No Kid Hungry so each tweet could connect a child struggling with hunger with up to 100 meals. I thought that was great and support No Kid Hungry through their blogger program.

Dentek showed us the latest in their kids fun flossers , toothbrushes and toothpaste. You could also decorate cookies with edible markers.

Wonder Workshop had a fun robots for the kids to control using a tablet and they were called Dash and Dot robots. My kids loved stopping here and working the robots.

Phillips had this Mix DJ sound system and my son was definitely the DJ. He did a great job mixing music. I have to get one for him. (My 12 yr old) My oldest son DJ’s and this would be great for them to work on this together. They also had screen cleaners which I picked the Rose scent to clean my phone and kill bacteria and germs. There was also the wireless portable speaker asked the FL3X which was cool.

Lysol had a cute station where kids played a game called Kill the Germs like a whack a mole version and took a picture in a cutout cardboard posing like a scientist, then a classroom set up with tablets learning about germs. I loved the coupons that were given out because I am a Lysol fanatic.

For all those Broadway fans out there like our family The Broadway League was in the house handing out swag.

My daughter got her hair done with glitter at Star Stable station along with a goodie bag. Laser Pegs handed out light up necklaces. Classroom Direct gave a backpack and school supplies.

Met Museum letting parents know about their new digital feature MetKids launching in September 2015.

WWE wrestler/diva Mark Henry and Natalya took pictures and gave autographs. They are both down to earth. Mark Henry is a big teddy bear. Glad to be a #wwemom

My kids enjoyed seeing the Game Stop table and playing video games. My daughter made sure to talk about germs with KidzVuz camera crew. There were treats throughout the room for the kids to snack on. Mommy Nearest had cupcakes for the kids to decorate.

We enjoyed all the sponsors and can’t wait to do it again next year. Thank you to the KidzVuz team for another amazing Bash! Big shout out to my daughter Taylinn who had my business cards in her bag and handed them out to the sponsors. Great job!!

Bratz Dolls Empower Girls To Create Their Own Worlds #BratzBesties

31 Jul

Back in June I was invited to a never-before-seen preview of the re-launched Bratz doll. It was held at Hundred Acres down on MacDougal St. In NYC. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and took a look at the dolls and their accessories.

On July 25, MGA Entertainment’s popular fashion doll franchise, Bratz, made its comeback with a new mantra to empower girls to create their own worlds. Celebrating creativity, confidence and friendship, the event was held at the flagship Toys”R”Us in New York City’s Time Square and featured activity stations including braid bars and a photo booth.

My daughter was very excited to see the collection, hang out at the activity stations, get her nails and hair done, have breakfast in the Skybox and take pictures with teen pop sensation, Skylar Stecker. She also signed her autograph on a cute pair of lips which is a iPhone 6 cell case. My daughter also got a picture with real-life Bratz and the inspiration for the Yasmin doll, Jasmin Larian who also talked about all the ways the brand has evolved over the years. Actress Nathalia Ramos also made an appearance and took pictures.

There was a huge pair of pink lips cake that was so delicious. You know we just couldn’t leave Toys R Us without getting in the Ferris Wheel. We got in the Barbie car.

Check this out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckPH4uD4nJw

It’s always hard to choose one doll as your favorite when there’s a collection. I like them all. My daughter was sent Sasha from the Sleepover party collection (Walmart exclusive). She loves the accessories and is having fun with Sasha. She can’t wait to get the entire collection.

You can find the Bratz dolls at Toys at Us. Walmart & Target now.

Disclosure: I was given a gift card in June for attending and my daughter received a doll for review. Opinions are 100% ours as always. Thank you to everyone involved in inviting us to these events.

We took a trip to JC Penney to pick out a new pair of glasses for my daughter and boy did she have a fun time trying on different frames. I think she tried on more than ten pairs. There’s so many to choose from and at that price you can afford to get a back up put in case your glasses get lost or break by mistake. Here are a few pair she tried on before finding the pair she loved. She also loved modeling the different style of glasses.

Here is the pair she chose with doggy paws in purple. I didn’t get a front shot just a side. When the glasses are ready I will post to my social media and show you how they look on her. Get to your local JC Penney and take advantage of this great promotion.

There’s also a Glasses 4 Classes Photo contest going on now!
Glasses 4 Classes Photo Contest will be on the JCPenney Optical Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/JCPenneyOptical)

2015 Blogger Bash Recap #BBNYC

30 Jul

Blogger Bash came and went so fast if I had to  do it all again I would. July 16,17, two days of meeting new people, seeing friends, taking notes, networking and just doing what I love doing.

This was the best one yet. I loved the location at Pier 60, Chelsea Piers NYC. Everything looked absolutely stunning and held just the right amount of people without it being overcrowded.

There were so many exhibitors I can’t even begin to mention them all but it was great meeting all of them and seeing the ones I already knew.

The first day started with a Share Your Care Brunch. Of course it wouldn’t be a brunch if Care Bear wasn’t there. Brunch was delicious and we also got to take pics with Care Bear. I am also happy to say I am officially a Care Bear Ambassador. How cool is that?

After brunch The Blue Man Group gave an exclusive performance for BBNYC attendees at Astor Place Theater. I chose to skip only because I want to experience this with my family first. I heard it was great and can’t wait for us to see.

Sweet Suite was the final adventure of the afternoon. With over 80 toy and game sponsors I couldn’t wait to play with toys and see what’s in store this year. It was packed and I tested out so many toys and just had a fabulous time. The food and drinks were off the chain. After having fun inside my friends and I went on the outside deck to take in the views and take pics. It ended at 9 p.m..

Day 2: If you’re a Disney Infinity fan then you should have been at the Disney Infinity breakfast not just for the amazing food but you could have been one of the first to play Disney Infinity’s latest installment Disney Infinity 3.0, which features new Star Wars toys and gameplay. We took home two Disney Infinty 3.0 characters.

Speaker sessions, Speaker panels and Brand speed dating were available throughout the day. Bloganthropy Awards which recognizes and honors bloggers who use their social media influence to support charitable causes which I think is wonderful was held at Blogger Bash.

Baby Palooza was up next with baby photographer Anne Geddes. Tons of baby products were on deck to check out.

The Peanuts Keynote Lunch was one of my favorites. Blogger Bash sure knows how to spoil us with all the delicious food they had. Cast members from the Peanuts were there to talk about the characters they played, how much fun they had and how they were picked. They were so cute and very funny. My kids and I can’t wait for this movie. Snoopy himself made an appearance and we took home fun swag form The Peanuts.

Rite Aid sponsored a fantastic Recharge Lounge overlooking the Hudson River at BBNYC. Everyone were able to relax and recharge while learning about Rite Aid and their cool initiatives, products, and services. Loved all the products they gave out. Especially loved the Chocolate Pecan Clusters.

Rene Syler spoke at the Brand New You event about health and wellness. Rene is deep and doesn’t let anything stop her. She’s been through a lot but she’s a go-getter. I love her inspiring words.

Teleflora, the world’s leading flower delivery service, served as the official flower sponsor of BBNYC! Teleflora’s beautiful floral arrangements was on display throughout both days.

Last event of the night was the Canadian Lentils Closing Carnival. Upon entering I noticed the game booths where I immediately tested my skills and won a few prizes. There were jugglers, magicians, a lady hanging from a chandelier upside down serving you champagne. Band, dancers, tall guy on stilts  and on and on. The food was made with none other than Lentils. Cupcakes with lentil, hamburgers,, pretzels, even the ice cream which was the best thing for me. I didn’t think I would like it but it was good. Loved the photo booth and all the acts.

Until next year! It’s been a blast.

Disclosure: I was given a ticket to attend. Opinions are mine 100% as always.

BALI – @BALIIntimates

Kodak – @MyKodakMoments

Trollbeads – @TrollTweetsUS

Chobani – @Chobani

Liquid Oxygen – @luvliquidoxygen

KeVita – @KeVitaDrinks

Wouldn’t you be excited to walk into a room filled with staff from every single one of them ready to give you samples, take your business card and tell you about how you can work with them? I’m always excited when opportunities like these arise. One on one attention and working with amazing brands is what I love doing.

Getting Gorgeous has given me that. Audrey and Vera definitely know how to throw an event. I’ve been attending every single event they have given and will always support these amazing ladies.

The Metropolitan Pavillion was on and popping July 15th. Filled with bloggers from all over I had the early session.

Restylane Silk had complimentary consultations with top NYC dermatologists, where we learned about the recent release of the first and only FDA-approved product specifically for the lips and mouth area that is uniquely designed to restore natural youthful definition, symmetry and smooth wrinkles. Restylane Silk can gently restore natural-looking lip volume, while also defining the lip shape and smoothing fine ‘barcode’ lines around the mouth. I had a consultation and will make an in office appointment.

Chobani had a DIY lunchbox station where you wrote whatever you wanted in the lunchbox with a cool marker and stickers that can be written on in chalk. Samples of their products were also given out and insulated lunch bags.
Bali Intimates measured the ladies for their correct bra size. Big shocker when I found out my real size. Love the new collection of bras and picked out my favorite to be sent to me.

Kodak has a new app coming out where you can print pictures from your phone and send to CVS or from your printer at home.

The Backyard Food Co had me at their booth half the day with amazing gourmet condiments. From sweet tomato jam, wholly jalapeño, red hot relish and red sweet relish. I loved them all. I can do some major damage with those and couldn’t stop eating. Praying these come to Whole Foods in New York. I’ll even buy bulk if they come to Costcos.

Trollbeads jewelry included beads, bracelets, bangles, etc.. Attendees were given a bracelet and was told to choose a bead which was attached and we made ourselves a trollbead. Very nice.

Kevita Organic, non-GMO, Sparkling Probiotic Drinks. Pineapple Coconut and Lemon Cayenne were my favorites. Need to stock up on these delicious drinks.

Stokke always have the best baby products to choose from. Love the strollers. Too bad I don’t have any babies or my apartment would be filled.

Liquid Oxygen skin care solution for acne recommended by Dermatologists. Al natural, benzoyl peroxide free, paraben free, fragrance free, for all skin types. Can’t wait to give this a try.

Cocktail Caviar edible pearls that can be put in the bottom of your glass of wine or served as a dessert. Made with Premium Vodka. Basically liquor in a stackable jarrah at looks like caviar. Variety of flavors like: Raspberry, Green Apple, Blueberry, Lychee and Peach.

Spa Chicks on the Go spa event company that delivers onsite beauty and wellness in NYC. That they did! Hair, makeup, nails and massages is what every girl wants. These ladies did amazing jobs hooking everyone up with these services.

I also had fun with my blogger buddy friends in the photo booth. I even won a Sephora gift card. Woo-hoo!! The day was great and big shout out to Vera and Audrey and the Getting Gorgeous team. Looking forward to next year. A few pics from Audrey and Vera photography.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. Opinions are always mine 100%. I was given swag and invited to attend this event.
