My Partnership with Fresh Produce Clothing for theCURVYcon #experiencethecolor #spon #freshproduceclothing

13 Sep

Last month- Fresh Produce®, America’s leading women’s apparel brand designed for every woman, every size and every age, announced its upcoming sponsorship of theCURVYcon.

CURVYcon is a 3 day event for curvy women that was recently held in NY. I attended all 3 days and had the best time.

I received an email from Fresh Produce Clothing Company. I read about their sponsorship with the CURVYcon and saw they would be present at the event so I reached out after checking their website and kindly pitched to them. I said I’ll be attending and would love to wear some of your pieces to the event. After a few days they got back to me and agreed to send me clothing and a special partnership was formed. I couldn’t wait to receive my clothes.

The day finally came and I received 2 dresses, a jacket, t shirt, Capri pants and jewelry. I loved everything.

I wore the Christa dress in color Shadow from Fresh Produce on the second day of the CURVYcon because the first day was a workout welcoming party and I had to wear workout gear. With my dress I wore my pink CURVYcon varsity jacket and pink sneakers. I was so comfortable and stylish and received lots of comments. There’s a pick me up hem on the left side of the dress which is perfect because I’m 5″4 and it wasn’t too long.

The last day of the CURVYcon I wore my “Salty” tee shirt and necklace provided by Fresh Produce with white jeans, plaid shirt tied around my waist, a denim jacket and white & gold slip ons. Another winner. The tee shirt was so soft a little big so I just twisted it into a back knot. I loved how the necklace complimented the shirt.

The one thing women worry about the most when attending any type of event, conference, party is what to wear. I was going crazy trying to figure out what I was going to wear for over a month. The weather also plays a big part in that as well.

I was also able to rock the Pinstripe Mika Dress in black sent to me from Fresh Produce Clothing to a fashion show. This dress has what I loved the most which was elbow length sleeves. The a-line fit was another plus. It had a cute twist on the back of the dress and the fabric was amazing.

It was great meeting Fresh Produce Clothing in person at the CURVYcon. They were wonderful and loved how I wore the clothes they sent me. I saw so much more that I want to wear.

I just want to thank Fresh Produce Clothing for taking that stress off of me and allowing me to move around in comfortable, affordable clothing for every women of all sizes, ages and shapes. I also would like to thanks Dan Lebron from Zenergy for all his hard work and communicating with me through emails and making this happen. I look forward to continue working with you and Fresh Produce Clothing.

Momtrends 6th Annual Travel Event

25 Apr

Momtrends held their 6th Annual Travel Trends Event at Ivivva in Union Square. This year I definitely want to explore and travel even if it’s local I appreciate all the tips and cool trends I can get. As I walked in Ivivva with my kids I was given a passport to use set each table as I talked to brands and get a stamp in my book as if I’m traveling. My daughter quickly ran to the kids table with her friends and decorated her Seedling bag and received goodies. Seedling creates uniquely innovative products that encourages families to build, imagine and play together. Check them out here: http://www.seedling.com

Ebags was the first table my son and I talked to. The colors on the bags drew me in. The backpacks and luggage are just what I need for my cruise. I also adore the packing cubes for my shoes and other items. The bags have a lifetime guarantee which is a big plus in my book. Ebags is the world’s leading online retailer of bags and travel accessories. I was happy to receive a packing cube in my gift bag. It’s so lightweight but holds just what I need. Head to http://www.ebags.com now.

You can’t have a travel event without Hershey’s chocolate being present. Not only was the largest Hershey’s chocolate bar in our gift bags there was also a chocolate fountain pouring chocolate on fruit, pretzels or marshmallows. My kids enjoyed that station. Experience the new Chocolate Making Tour at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction this summer. Check the website for more info: http://www.hersheypark.com

Cool Gear has awesome BPA free products for on the go. In our gift bags we received the cutest travel tubes  that can hold anything like lotion, shampoo, sunscreen, etc.. Love the bright colors and the different sizes. Website for more info: http://www.coolgearinc.com and @coolgearinc on Twitter

Igloo Coolers always make t easy for me to choose what I need for my parties, picnics, bbq’s and road trips. Their coolers, totes and buckets keep my drinks and food cool and happy. I’m still stalking the Party Bar that lights up with LED lights when it’s dark out and hold a ton of drinks. I also love the half gallon sport jug which I have. Go to @igloocoolers on Instagram for the latest.

Talbots hooked the Momtrends ladies up with gorgeous outfits. They looked spring like as if they were ready to cruise and dance the night away . I loved them all. Very classic. See the latest styles at http://www.talbots.com and @talbotsofficial on Twitter

Ivivva where the event was held is inspired by active girls. If you need athletic wear for your daughter like leggings, leotards, jackets and accessories this is the place to get it. Nicole Feliciano and Sherri Schubert from Momtrends introduced their daughters who modeled a few of the clothes from Ivivva and also showed us how easy these pieces can be packed in their backpacks without taking up any room for a week away from easy and no ironing required. They all did an amazing job. Follow @ivivva on Twitter for more info.

Go Picnic nutritious ready to eat meals were a hit with the kids and adults. My daughter took some to school for her lunch. There’s a variety to choose from like salami, turkey, hummus, sunbutter and turkey pepperoni to name a few. There’s also Go a Picnic Snacks and Go Picnic Breakfast. Gluten free, vegetarian and kosher. Buy online or in your local grocery store. http://www.gopicnic.com and @GoPicnic on Twitter

I’ve not a fan of tap water but I am a big fan of water that has an alkaline 9.5 pH or higher. I’ve only found a few and I’m proud to discover Essentia Water. This water is an electrolyte enhanced water with the alkaline of 9.5 pH. I’ve always been a walker and my Fitbit keeps track of my steps so I’ve been doing great with walking 10,000 or more steps every time I go out. Essentia Water will be by my side to keep me hydrated. @EssentiaWater on Instagram @EssentiapHwater on Twitter and http://www.essentiawater.com website.

I’d like to thank Momtrends for another fun event. My kids and I enjoyed spending the evening with you and all the brands and taking home great tips for travel and a great gift bag.

Momtrends Back To School Bash Recap

23 Jul

I still have two kids to go that are still in school so when there’s a Back to School Bash to attend I’m down. I want to see the latest trends in school supplies, clothes and even a few things for myself. Did someone say Lysol?

I was ready to see what Momtrends Back to School Bash was bringing to the table this year. Well all I have to say is Marvelous Darling!!! Of course it was all about the models. All of the kids did an amazing job showing clothing from Matilda Jane and Stride Rite. This year it was all about the girls. Sorry boys. Love the ruffles and prints that Matilda Jane offer. I’ve always been a fan. Even the book bag has ruffles. We got one in our swag bag. My daughter loves it. Stride Rite took it up a notch and came out with machine washable Made2Play kid shoes line. Say what now? Yes parents, let your kids get dirty. No more worrying because those muddy shoes can go right in the washing machine. Separate from clothes of course. Those are on my back to school list.

Mabel’s Labels are always a must when school is in session. My daughter and I take pride in labeling everything. Folders, backpacks, clothes, lunchboxes, we do it all. I was glad to stock up on more and there’s a few new labels as well.

Lysol anyone? Uh, yes!!!! Not only is my apartment stocked with Lysol but I make sure the teachers get a decent supply as well. I’m a germaphobe and if you’re ever around me you know I always pull out some type of sanitizer or wipes. Germs, deleted!! My kids know I don’t play. Don’t touch nothing. Lol. 99.9% viruses and bacteria are killed thanks to Lysol.

The majority of attendees are parents and sometimes our babysitters cancel at the last minute or we just don’t know who to trust. What about date nights? Shouldn’t  the adults enjoy a few nights out too? Thanks to Date Night now by SitterCity this amazing company will help you find trusted babysitters that were hand picked. How awesome is that? They got you covered.

Inside the swag bag was Play-Doh. My daughter loves her some Play-Doh. Growing up I loved it too so I see where she gets it from. She can make amazing things. I often find myself playing with her and sometimes without. Lol. It’s so fun.

WallPops are the hottest wall art around. The most fashionable peel and stick wall decals. My daughter likes to stick her calendar on her desk. I want to decorate my bathroom or kitchen. The patterns and colors are fun. Dry erase maps and calendars and wall word decals are just some of the wall art you can choose from. Have a ball and get to decorating!!

MY #FASHFORWARD DEBUT ON THE RUNWAY!!!

31 Dec

I was so excited and nervous when I found out I was going to model at the fabulous Fashion Forward Conference that I am always a guest at. I’m always counting down till the event and now I was counting down to see what great outfit was picked out for me to wear. I love to be in the spotlight and work the runway especially when the clothing fits you perfectly and you’re doing it for friends. I consider Vera, Audrey and Nicole like family. They’ve been there for me from the beginning and you will always hear me saying good things about them. Good things come to those who wait.

I modeled beautiful clothing from Gwynnie Bee and Mark Girl accessories. Makeup was applied thanks to Mommy Makeup, hair was done by Go Priv and manicures given by City Mani NYC. I loved my outfit and everything included from top to bottom. Even the kids modeled their favorite Halloween character costumes and clothing from Matilda Jane. The whole experience was amazing and I’ll do it again in a heart beat. Everyone did a wonderful job and we all had fun. It’s a beautiful thing we all get together and everyone is smiling and there’s a positive vibe.

Tons of brands showed up to showcase their products and guest Christy Turlington spoke on the panel about making pregnancy & childbirth safe for every mother with Every Mother Counts, the non-profit organization. @CTurlington @everymomcounts http://www.everymothercounts.org

For more info on these three fabulous ladies you can follow them on Twitter: @VeraSweeney @AudreyMcClellan @Momtrends

The food was great from Tacombi (Mexican) and the venue was beautifully decorated. It’s always great attending Fashion Forward and I can’t wait till 2015. Thank you for letting me model and for having a great panel of speakers and sponsors.

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. Gift bags were given. Opinions are mine as always 100%.

#MOMTRENDSHOLIDAY EVENT @StellaDot SHOWROOM IN NYC

4 Dec

This year bloggers celebrated the holiday season with Momtrends at the Stella & Dot Showroom down on Wooster St, in NYC. I always get super excited when Momtrends throws their fabulous events. Donations this year were to Bottomless Closet. We were able to bring new or lightly used work clothes, accessories, coats or shoes for disadvantaged women going into the workplace. I remember years ago being part of a program like this where I got a referral to get free clothes, jewelry, shoes, etc so I could go on an interview. These programs/agencies/charities come in handy when women/men need clothing to go into the workplace. I appreciated it a lot. I didn’t mind at all donating for a good cause.

Sponsors in attendance were Teleflora, Priv, Lands End, Walkers, Little Me, Duck, I See Me, Vermont Nut Free Chocolate, Apothederm, Peanut Hottie, Stella & Dot.

Teleflora. I absolutely love Teleflora flowers because first of all they never box any of their flowers. They are delivered fresh across the US and Canada. You can choose from a variety of occasions and styles. There’s the Thinking of You flowers, Just Because and I’m Sorry flowers just to name a few.

Teleflora featured three new bouquets that captured the authenticity and spirit of the festive family holiday traditions. The trio includes a holly motif- serving bowl, a gingerbread-house cookie jar and a merry mug. Each of these bouquets will arrive with a Teleflora exclusive holiday recipe. For example, a chocolate-dipped cookie recipe accompanies the Gingerbread Cookie Jar Bouquet. Cake Boss Buddy Valastro and Teleflora collaborated and recipes are courtesy of him.

My kids loved their Gingerbread Cookie Jar Bouquet. It made a great centerpiece on their table. Once the flowers have passed on the cookie jar is a special treat for the kids to grab cookies. Check out http://www.teleflora.com and order from the Homemade for the Holiday collection. Twitter: @Teleflora

Lands End my absolutely favorite store for apparel, outerwear, footwear and home items made sure they did what they do best and brought us their holiday outfits for a few lucky bloggers to model. I loved the black sleeveless ponte sheath dress with pockets and cashmere dress cardigan sweater in red on one of the models. The cardigan gave it that pop of color. The jewelry from Stella & Dot was sparkly and amazing. The whole outfit makes a great look for holiday parties. I also adores the Déjà Vu Double-Sided Stud earrings from Stella & Dot. I need to purchase these quickly.

Lands End also showed us gifts to please everyone on your list. Cozy pajamas, socks and slippers, and warm hats, gloves and scarves.
Stella & Dot had a table full of beautiful necklaces, bracelets, and rings. Mother, daughter, niece, aunt whoever they won’t be disappointed if any of these were handed to them. http://www.landsend.com http://www.stelladot.com Twitter: @landsend @stelladot

Walkers Shortbread cookies melted in my mouth. I love shortbread cookies and was happy to see they have festive shapes for everyone to decorate with ease. I can leave the cookie shapers and flour in the cabinet and just buy the cookies, icing and sprinkles and my kids and I can make a mess without making a big mess. I rather spend hours decorating and not having to turn on the oven. For more info click here : http://www.us.walkersshortbread.com Twitter: @shortbread

Vermont Nut Free Chocolates are you guessed it, NUT FREE!! There are so many people allergic to nuts so it’s good to know we can buy all the chocolate we want with this company. I’m a chocoholic so I made sure to try lots of samples. Even the chocolate covered pretzels were good. Check out the website for gifts and other treats. http://www.vermontnutfree.com Twitter: @vermontnutfree

Priv stopped by giving manicures to those who wanted it. I’ve been to quite a few events with Priv where I’ve gotten manicures or makeup done. They come to your home and hook you up. Follow them on Twitter: @gopriv

The Duck Brand is for that crafty, DIY person. My kids and I love duck tape and crafting. Love the ideas they showed us on how to decorate your Christmas table with tape. They made a place mat, utensil holder, gift box and name card. Can’t wait to get crafty with my kids. Follow on Twitter for great ideas @theduckbrand Web: http://www.duckbrand.com

I See Me company for personalized children books. So many to choose from for babies, girls, boys. We received a voucher for a personalized book. Twitter: @iseeme_maia Website: http://www.iseeme.com

Little Me stylish, fashionable child appropriate clothing. I loved dressing my babies in Little Me when they were growing up. From newborn to toddler, soft cotton, terrycloth and velour. “Little Me believes babies should always be comfortable, snuggly and safe, free to do what they do best: play, sleep and thrive.” The pajamas were too cute. Check out the clothes at http://www.littleme.com and on Twitter: @littleme_baby

Apothederm Skin Care provided products in the gift bag. They take care of fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and stretch marks. You can take a look at their products at http://www.apothederm.com and on Twitter: @apothederm

Peanut Hottie gave away a gift basket full of their products and kitchen gadgets. They also had samples in the gift bag. Have you ever had a peanut butter hot drink? Neither have I but I will try it and let you know how it is. Just 83 calories. That’s incredible. Available at Walmart. Twitter: @PeanutHottieUSA

We also had a catered dinner with great sandwiches and wine. There were raffles, a fashion show and great conversation. Nicole even showed us her accessory picks. I enjoyed myself as always and want to thank Nicole Feliciano and Sherri Schubert @Momtrends for another great event!!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was given a gift bag full of goodies from the sponsors. Opinions are mine as always all 100%.

@RUUMkidswear HOLIDAY COLLECTION @ClarksShoes ON RUNWAY @PetiteParade

29 Oct

It is always a pleasure for my kids and I to attend Petite Parade (kids fashion week) in NYC. What parent wouldn’t want to see new kids collections on the runway modeled by some of the cutest kids? The kids have a great time and impress me every time when they strut their stuff.

This year Petite Parade featured RUUM Kid’s Wear Holiday Collection and it was a sight to see. I’ve mentioned this brand in a few of my other posts. I love dressing my daughter in RUUM clothing. Loved the faux fur vests and tulle skirts. The girls stole the show with bows and sparkly dresses but they didn’t forget about the guys. Twin models Tristin and Tyler showed us how to dress up denim jeans with a blazer and tie and how wear an Aztec sweater with colorful jeans.

Clark’s Kids SS15 also showed their latest shoe collection and little feet sashayed the wonderful collection. Kids danced and just had the time of their lives. There was even a cute friendly dog that modeled. Loved seeing the 2015 collection so I can shop early for the adorable styles for my daughter. My son’s foot need the men’s collection.

Everyone did an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.

RUUM American Kid’s Wear Holiday Highlights:

#MomtrendsBTS event and fashion show @VeraBradley Showroom NYC

1 Aug

Momtrends hosted their annual Back to School event this year at Vera Bradley’s showroom in NYC. My daughter Taylinn was given the opportunity to model in the fashion show and she was one very happy girl. The sponsors that the kids modeled for were from Carter’s, Appaman, Lands End, Stride Rite and French Toast. My daughter wore Lands End polka dot denim jacket, skirt and cute long sleeve shirt with horses. Her cute sneakers were from Stride Rite. To top off the outfit she carried a colorful Vera Bradley lunch bag. I was so proud of her. All the kids did a great job and even got to keep the outfits they modeled and were sent book bags and lunch bags to their homes.

Vera Bradley’s showroom is so vibrant and full of color. Her collection is amazing I wanted to take everything home from jewelry to wallets, iPad cases, backpacks and totes.

Vera Bradley spoke to everyone about the trends for the fall. I love pink and that’s the color that will be mixed with materials like faux leather and cotton. Barbara Bradley spoke about the 32 year old company that was started with a $250 loan from her husband that she gladly paid back.

French Toast has been around for more than 50 years and I have always relied on them to bring me the best school uniforms for my kids. Everything you need from polos, button ups, jumpers, skirts, and pants. I’m loving the pants with the bow for a belt and the shirts with buttons that look like bling. There’s also a one piece dress with the shirt attached. Incredible. You can also purchase a years worth of uniforms for $125. That’s amazing! They have really been a blessing for my kids. Love the new uniforms. Check out the website.

Stride Rite has kept my kids feet happy with all their amazing, shoes, sneakers, boots and sandals from all brands. I love taking my kids in for a shoe measure and let them pick out the great styles. These are very comfortable, durable and inexpensive. I also love the dress shoes for my daughter like the Mary Janes and the colorful, bright sneakers. My son foot is too big for Stride Rite but at least I have one child left who can enjoy over 400 styles to choose from.

Mabel’s Labels is a big hit with my kids folders, lunches, clothing, and school supplies that need labeling. My daughter loved all the labels especially the luggage tag with her name on it. All the labels have the name of the person on it. I picked up some with my name on it at the event that was pre-made for us bloggers. It’s all about organization. My daughter loves to be organized. She takes after me. The designs and colors are fun and stand out. I’ve never had a problem with these labels getting lost or not sticking well. Very durable. Check their website for a back to school combo.

Foods with no artificial flavors or colorings is a plus in my house. Revolution Foods provided us with a sample of their healthy snacks in our gift bags. I will be checking out their website for more info on how my kids can pack their healthy and fresh foods meal kits in their lunch bags.

It was nice to meet Wall Pops and learn about wall art and other goodies they carry. I especially liked this because my daughter (like her mother) loves decorating and this wall art will be great for her space. I want to see what she comes up with.

No parent wants to hear their kid say “my hair itches”, so the company Vamousse was there to show everyone their products to use to get rid of head lice. In 15 minutes the lice is killed. We received a sample in our goodie bag. Have never had to experience that and hope I never have to but it’s good to be prepared.

Sheila McCraith, author of The Orange Rhino showed parents her tips on how to yell less for a week, month, or year. I definitely could use those tips. I don’t yell everyday but I’m sure her tips could help. If she could do it for a year straight so could I.

The food was amazing. Sushi was served, my favorite and other goodies.
There were raffles and guests were given cute, colorful Vera Bradley totes with school supplies inside.

We had a great time and Taylinn is ready for her next fashion show. Thank you Momtrends for a wonderful event!!!

TRAVEL TRENDS EVENT WITH @Momtrends #trendytravel

3 May

I don’t get away as much as I would like to but I made it my business to “Getaway with Momtrends” at Butterfly Studio on April 28th. I was invited to learn about the latest travel attire, take off tips, on the go gear, hairstyling tips, and family travel planning. This event was not to be missed.

I started with a dry hair styling session appointment. I never had a fishtail and always wanted one but my stylist took it up a notch. She made a high pony with the fishtail then wrapped it in a bun with pins. It looked great. It was off my neck and stayed in place the entire night. I still have to learn how to make a fishtail though.

Butterfly Studio hooked a lot of the bloggers up with cute hairstyles, and my favorite were the pony tails. I especially liked Nicole Feliciano’s pony.

Butterfly Studio showed all the tricks and easy to do hairstyles that’s great for everyday or when traveling. These styles looked like they took hours to do but were done in a few minutes. I know when the summer comes I like my hair off my face but also looking good in a bun or pony tail. Also using the right products to get volume and less frizz is important as well. They are located in the city and can be found at Butterflystudiosalon.com

Kim-Marie Evans taught me a lot about how to book vacations, who to book them with, and the most important how to get the most for your money. Who knew that booking group tours are actually more better than a vacation on your own. You get to do and see things that would never happen if you went on your own like dining with the locals in their homes, and maybe visiting an artist and taking home a piece of art directly from the artist. Check her out at TravelingMom.com

Britax always have the best baby gear and accessories for parents. I love their car seats and strollers. I love the colors of the strollers, and the cow print color of the car seat. They are releasing a new stroller called BOB revolutionary stroller. It has an expandable handle for those tall dads, and a handle brake which is awesome. I also love how it closes up in the push of a button. Wheels are sturdy enough even for the sand on the beach. The wheels also can be locked for jogging or unlocked to swivel when strolling around. Accessories are a must have for strollers and cars. Check out all the latest products at Britax.com

Trunk was also in the house introducing their water-resistant swim backpack called PaddlePak that comes designed looking like sea creatures for the kids. Very lightweight and durable but can pack a lot. There’s one that looks like Nemo but it’s actually called Clown Fish Chuckles that I’m sure will be a huge hit. I loved Octopus Inky for my daughter and the Shark PaddlePak for my son which is larger than the other ones. The Whale and Shark are the larger PaddlePaks. Prices are $25 for the small and $30 for the large. For ages 2 and up these are great for camping, the beach, travel, parks, etc. Keeps thing from getting wet and parents won’t have to carry it because your kids won’t want to put it down.
They can be found at Trunki.com

Miraclesuit made sure they showed the ladies the must have swimwear and we got to enjoy a fashion show with cute sarongs, and bright color swimsuits. We don’t have to hide our figures because Miraclesuit makes us look 10 pounds lighter in 10 seconds no matter what size. They have one piece swimsuits, tankini tops, swim dresses, cover ups, and so on. I picked out a cute little number that I will be rocking this year on the beach. Head to Miraclesuit.com and pick some up.

Adirondack Creamery was on board to treat us to their amazing farm fresh, local, all natural ice cream in amazing flavors like , Banana Chip, Kulfi-Pistachio Cardamom, and Caramel Apple. But those are just a few flavors they have. I loved it so much they hand delivered me ice cream to my door yesterday. I was so excited to share with my family. Anything all natural and farm fresh is supported in my house. A few of the stores you can purchase this from is Whole Foods, and Fairway Market. Also for the holidays they have Pumpkin Pie, and Egg Nog which I can’t wait to try. Here is the website to read all about their story and other flavors, Adirondackcreamery.com

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post. I was given a hairstyling session and wonderful gift bag. Opinions are always my own.

PETITE PARADE KIDS FASHION WEEK

Petite Parade is always a pleasure to attend with my kids. The two day fashion show is very popular and my daughter and I attended the Sunday show and saw beautiful clothing modeled by none other than the young children models. They always do an incredible job, even the shy ones. Sunday’s show started with the JC Penney Showcase which featured
